I started WayardGamer.com back in 2008 when I read a review on a game I disagreed with. It made me so angry that I thought to myself, “I can do that, and I can do it better!” So, I got a group of friends together and we started working on an electronic magazine. We learned a lot in the next year doing those. We learned that we really could do better reviews, but we also learned that we were under-staffed and under-funded. So, like any young man with a quixotic look in their eyes and no idea what they were doing, I took the knowledge that we had a better product and tried to turn our little electronic magazine into a full blown print magazine!
Long story short, the print magazine was a bust. So I had to make a decision and if nothing else, it seemed I could make those with ease. The result of this decision was to create a website where we would catalog everything there was out there on the internet about games. Yeah, I know… I bit off more than I could chew at the outset, but after weeks of programming we ended up with the website you’re looking at right now!
The WaywardGamer.com team and I have turned our website into one of the most comprehensive sites for upcoming games on the internet. Yes we’re still under-staffed and under-funded, but we work hard to bring you the best information we can as soon as possible.
If you’d like to help us get closer to being fully-staffed and fully-funded by contributing to WaywardGamer.com (not with money, but by writing articles) just shoot us an email and we’ll talk!
